Tell us about yourself in one or two sentences.

I am naturally curious and open-minded. I see every opportunity as a chance to learn something new and to develop as a person. In my free time I like to spend time with my family and friends. It gives me a lot of energy and keeps me grounded.

How long have you been working at Swiss Life and why did you choose to start there?

My career at Swiss Life started in 2013 with my apprenticeship. After finishing my apprenticeship in 2017, I had the opportunity to take on a permanent position as a software engineer at Swiss Life.

What is important to you about your colleagues at work?

In a team, I think it’s really important that everyone supports each other. I also think that honest and open communication is essential. This allows us to exchange ideas and thoughts, and to address conflicts and look for solutions together. I also like how our skills complement each other within the team. Each team member has their own strengths and expertise, which contribute to our success as a team and to our ability to support each other. I also value trust, respect and reliability, because they are essential to the success of the entire team.

What has been your best experience at Swiss Life?

I have had a lot of amazing experiences during my time at Swiss Life. Generally, the best moments were when we were finally able to release a new app after a long development phase. Team events are also always a highlight – they are a welcome change to our day-to-day work.

And what do you like to do when you’re not working at Swiss Life?

For me, spending time with my friends and family is very important and shouldn’t be neglected in favour of work. I also think that taking part in sport is very important. I am open to a variety of sports, but my favourite is football.

What are your hobbies?

Football is my passion. I love not only playing myself, but also supporting my favourite club FC Zürich.

And last but not least: what does self-determination mean for you?

For me, self-determination means developing and using my talents and skills to achieve my personal goals. And doing so while I continually learn new things and develop as a person.
